Lead, Hydroform in DAYTON, Ohio at Dynamic Metals LLC

Manage/Oversee the daily operations of the Hydroform department.

Produce parts by setting-up and operating metal forming machines and/or pressing machines. Maintain quality and safety standards; keep records; maintain equipment and supplies.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Develop, recommend, and trouble shoot tooling and equipment and manufacturing processes
• Ensure new product launch success with written documentation/instructions
• Define and implement cost savings and process improvements
• Train employees on machinery and processes
• Plan, understand, and interpret drawings, specifications, material and operating instructions before and while running operations and equipment
• Produce and inspect parts against drawings specifications within time allotted; ensuring product meets specified quality standards
• Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and fixtures/gauges to check work to drawings
• Verify initial product quality checks and complete all processing operations
• Update related paperwork (work orders and in-process inspection sheets) upon completion of tasks
• Lead the Hydroform Department by ensuring all operators remain on task, assist operators as needed, demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems, and lead to continual process improvements and effectiveness of the team
• Ability to stand and operate machinery throughout the duration of shift, except for scheduled breaks
• Ability to lift required objects with or without assistance, turn, load/unload required objects
• Maintain current, overall and specific job training and requirements.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

• Supervisory skills a plus
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
• Detail oriented
• Manage time with little to no supervision, self-motivated
• AS9100 Quality compliance, understanding and commitment
• Basic math and trigonometry skills
• MS Office (including Word and Excel) experience
• Sheetmetal Hydroform experience
• Engineering degree and three (3) years of experience or High School Diploma or Equivalent and ten (10) years of experience.
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience
