FULL-TIME 1st shift

PAY: $26.00/hr

Valtir is hiring working Lead Heavy Assembler to support our Lima, OH manufacturing facility by performing general labor aiding in the manufacturing and processing of highway safety products.

What You’ll Do:

  • Responsible for training and directing the work of others
  • Assemble mechanical units, fabricated parts/components, subassemblies or complete units
  • Complete orders by fabricating, assembling, wrapping packaging and binding required parts
  • Support, promote and assist with 5S/Lean activities
  • Lift/carry materials of different weights throughout the shift – physically demanding
  • Check tools and equipment in observance of safety regulations
  • Maintain and improve quality standards
  • Other duties as assigned

    • Working Environment:

  • Conditions can be hot, cold, wet, dirty, and noisy.
  • The job is within a fast paced, heavy industrial environment and you may be required to work within various areas of the plant.
  • Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures / guidelines must be adhered to at all times. This includes safety wear such as hearing and eye protection, protective clothing and steel-toed shoes.
  • Attendance and showing up to work on time are important to the success of the plant. Dependable job attendance is expected.

    • What you will need:

  • 2 - 3 years of lead/supervisory experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of industrial experience
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Reliable and predictable attendance
  • Knowledge and ability to operate all equipment in that area
  • Ability to perform all essential functions safely and efficiently
  • Ability to function as a team member and establish and maintain effective working relationships

    • $3,000 sign on bonus. $1,000 paid out at 30 days, $1,000 paid out at 90 days & $1,000 paid out at 180 days.
