As the Principal Product Manager, you will act as the business owner for a strategic product line, driving its vision, market success, compliance readiness, and financial performance. You will lead cross-functional initiatives, influence teams without direct authority, and ensure the product delivers value for employers, partners, and members.
- Define and execute the product strategy, deciding what to build, buy, or partner for while establishing the roadmap and long-term vision.
- Design incentive structures, reimbursement models, and compliance frameworks in collaboration with legal and benefits experts.
- Develop and validate financial models, including unit economics, pricing strategies, and ROI frameworks to ensure commercial sustainability.
- Partner with engineering, data, clinical, operations, finance, and commercial teams to align capabilities and drive successful product execution.
- Build go-to-market strategies, positioning, sales enablement materials, and market narratives that resonate with enterprise buyers and industry partners.
- Establish operational standards and measurement frameworks to demonstrate product impact, retention value, and customer outcomes.
- Drive behavior change strategies by defining member journeys, success metrics, and product experiences that encourage meaningful engagement.
- Lead decision-making across complex initiatives while managing competing priorities and dependencies.
The ideal candidate is an experienced product leader with a strong business mindset and a proven ability to launch and scale products in complex environments. You should be comfortable navigating regulatory considerations, financial models, and cross-functional collaboration while maintaining a strong focus on customer and business outcomes.
- 10+ years of product management experience, including significant experience operating at a senior or principal level.
- Proven track record of launching and scaling new products from concept to market with ownership of business outcomes.
- Experience building products in healthcare, benefits, insurance, fintech, or other regulated industries is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of business models, unit economics, pricing strategies, and financial forecasting.
- Ability to translate complex compliance and regulatory requirements into practical product solutions.
- Experience influencing and leading cross-functional teams without direct management authority.
- Strong go-to-market experience, especially in channel-driven markets involving enterprise buyers, partners, or consultants.
- Familiarity with AI-powered products, personalization, automation, or recommendation systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively with executives, technical teams, customers, and external stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create clear product documentation, business cases, and strategic narratives.
