The Accounting Operations Analyst Contractor will support accounting processes, contract administration, and financial analysis activities across shared service functions. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams while managing sensitive financial information.
- Manage contracting requirements for various shared service departments and serve as the primary contact for assigned contracts.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, Legal, and other internal stakeholders to support contract reviews, approvals, and execution.
- Provide management with financial updates, budget-related insights, and operational reporting.
- Manage daily and monthly administrative accounting activities, including purchase order and vendor invoice management.
- Calculate month-end accruals and prepare accurate journal entries to support financial close processes.
- Assist with month-end financial performance analysis and budget-to-actual reporting.
- Provide analytical and data management support between shared service teams and Finance departments.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal processes and reporting requirements.
- Handle confidential information with professionalism, integrity, and discretion.
The ideal candidate is an analytical and detail-oriented accounting professional with experience supporting financial operations, reporting, and cross-functional projects. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the flexibility to work independently in a remote environment.
- Three (3) years of progressive accounting experience.
- Experience with project management, program coordination, quantitative analysis, and/or financial analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, particularly NetSuite.
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to manage confidential financial information responsibly.
- Ability to successfully complete required background screening.
- CPA certification is a plus.
- Competitive contractor compensation of approximately $25.01 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, location, and market conditions.
