Job Description
Do you enjoy working with people and helping create a safe, welcoming environment? In the Security team at River Rock Casino Resort, you'll play an important role in protecting our guests, team members, and property while delivering exceptional customer service.
Reporting to the Shift Manager, Security, you'll be part of a professional team that helps ensure a safe, enjoyable experience throughout the resort. Every shift is different—you'll interact with guests, support your colleagues, respond to situations as they arise, and contribute to a positive workplace where everyone feels welcome.
Key Accountabilities
- Monitors, documents and prepares statements and/or reports on violations, unsafe conditions, potential hazards, suspicious persons or activities
- Enforces restricted access by unauthorized persons
- Observes transactions, pulls, fills, transfers, etc.
- Escorts cash/cash equivalents
- Tags and reports found property; transfers items to Lost and Found
- Conducts regular patrols of the facility interior and exterior as directed
- Escorts guests and team members as directed
- Performs identification checks as required
- Refers disputes to the Supervisor, Security
- Performs crowd control as directed
- May perform electronic surveillance of non-gaming facilities, including exterior and adjacent properties at some locations
- May enroll guests in the Self-Exclusion Program
- Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
- Builds strong working relationships with guests and team members
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed
Education and Qualifications
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule including, overnights, weekends and holidays
- Must be comfortable working 10 hour shifts
- Minimum 2 years of work experience
- Serving it Right Certificate
- Security license an asset
- Occupational First Aid Level 2 Certificate an asset
- Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
- Fluency in other languages an asset
