This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Organizational Change Manager – Senior based in Canada.
This senior-level role offers the opportunity to lead organizational change and business readiness for a large-scale digital modernization initiative. You will develop and execute change strategies that help stakeholders, business teams and end users successfully adopt new processes, technologies and digital services. The role spans the full transformation lifecycle, from impact assessment and stakeholder engagement through training, deployment, go-live and stabilization. You will work closely with project leaders, technical teams, operational groups, subject matter experts and vendors to ensure organizations are prepared for meaningful change. You will also help identify responsible opportunities to use AI and Generative AI to strengthen communications, training and readiness activities. You will lead organizational change management and business readiness activities, ensuring stakeholders are informed, prepared and supported throughout the modernization journey. Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute comprehensive organizational change management and business readiness strategies.
- Conduct change impact assessments, stakeholder readiness assessments and organizational impact analyses.
- Develop stakeholder engagement and communications strategies tailored to different audiences.
- Create executive briefings, presentations, communications, change materials and readiness reporting.
- Coordinate training, knowledge-transfer activities and the development of user guides, job aids, FAQs and learning resources.
- Support user adoption and proactively identify, assess and manage resistance to change.
- Coordinate business readiness activities across deployment, go-live, hypercare, transition to operations and post-implementation stabilization.
- Work closely with project leadership, business stakeholders, technical teams, operational teams, subject matter experts and vendors.
- Identify change risks, dependencies, impacts and mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support the adoption of citizen-facing digital services and related organizational processes.
- Identify appropriate opportunities to leverage approved AI and Generative AI tools for communications, training development, stakeholder analysis, knowledge management and readiness activities.
- Review and validate AI-assisted outputs to ensure accuracy, privacy, security, accessibility and regulatory compliance.
- Apply structured project and change management methodologies to ensure consistent delivery and stakeholder alignment.
- Provide ongoing guidance and recommendations to leadership regarding organizational readiness, adoption and change risks.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate brings extensive experience leading organizational change initiatives within complex digital transformation environments. You should combine strong strategic planning and stakeholder management skills with hands-on experience developing communications, training and readiness programs.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of professional Organizational Change Management experience.
- 7+ years of experience developing and implementing organizational change management strategies.
- 7+ years of experience developing stakeholder communications and effective communication materials.
- 7+ years of experience leading OCM activities for organizational or digital transformation initiatives.
- At least 3 years of experience working specifically as an Organizational Change Manager on relevant initiatives.
- At least 2 years of experience implementing citizen service portals or comparable digital service platforms.
- At least 2 years of experience supporting licensing, regulatory, permitting or other citizen-facing services.
- 5+ years of experience applying relevant project management or change management methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience preparing communications, presentations, executive briefings and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Experience developing and delivering training programs, knowledge-transfer materials, user guides, job aids, FAQs and other learning resources.
- Experience supporting business readiness, adoption, deployment, go-live, hypercare and transition to operations.
- Proven ability to identify and manage change risks, resistance, impacts, dependencies and mitigation strategies.
- Experience using AI and Generative AI tools to support change management, communications, training, readiness, reporting or knowledge management.
- Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated content for accuracy, privacy, security, accessibility and compliance.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills with executives, business stakeholders, technical teams, subject matter experts and vendors.
- Ability to work effectively in Agile or other structured project environments.
- Must be able to work remotely from within Canada.
- Agile certification is an asset.
- Prosci Change Management certification or designation is an asset.
