Territory Account Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Territory Account Manager based in the United States.

This role serves as the primary customer-facing representative across an assigned territory, driving adoption of innovative cardiovascular diagnostic technology.
You will build trusted relationships with cardiologists, primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare stakeholders.
The position combines strategic account development, consultative selling, clinical education, and customer success.
You will develop account plans, expand utilization, and support healthcare organizations in implementing effective cardiovascular diagnostic pathways.
Working closely with sales, marketing, clinical, product, and market access teams, you will coordinate resources to accelerate growth.
Success will be measured through account performance, utilization growth, referral expansion, and achievement of territory objectives.
This is a home-office-based role with approximately 20–25% travel throughout the assigned territory.

Accountabilities:

As the key customer-facing partner for strategic accounts, you will drive adoption, strengthen clinical relationships, and coordinate internal resources to deliver measurable account growth.

  • Develop and execute business development plans for strategic accounts, partnering with key stakeholders to expand adoption of cardiovascular diagnostic pathways.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with referring physicians, cardiologists, primary care providers, nurse practitioners, administrators, and other clinical and strategic stakeholders.
  • Educate healthcare professionals on the value and clinical applications of advanced cardiovascular diagnostic technologies through presentations, discussions, and targeted educational activities.
  • Drive increased utilization within assigned accounts by expanding referrals, strengthening physician advocacy, and supporting broader adoption.
  • Develop programs and initiatives such as physician meetings, dinner programs, VIP visits, educational roadshows, and other customer engagement activities.
  • Coordinate cross-functional resources across sales, marketing, market access, clinical applications, product development, and other internal teams to support strategic accounts.
  • Work closely with Territory Sales Managers and broader field teams to align customer strategies and maximize account opportunities.
  • Support customers in developing and strengthening clinical programs and cardiovascular care pathways.
  • Monitor account performance against established targets, including quota attainment, growth in non-invasive cardiovascular testing, and FFRCT case penetration.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing customer relationships and increase utilization across relevant departments and physician networks.
  • Proactively address customer needs, solve problems, and provide practical solutions that support high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate customer and opportunity information using Salesforce or comparable CRM tools.
  • Contribute to the successful introduction and adoption of new cardiovascular technologies within healthcare organizations.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate combines a proven sales record with strong customer relationship skills and the ability to understand and communicate complex clinical and technical concepts.

  • 4-year degree with 5+ years of related sales or clinical experience, or a 2-year degree with 7+ years of related sales or clinical experience.
  • Degree in science, medical, business, marketing, technical, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven sales skills and a demonstrated track record of achieving commercial objectives.
  • Experience developing strategic accounts and building strong clinical programs is preferred.
  • Prior experience in medical devices, cardiology pharmaceuticals, radiopharmaceuticals, hospitals, or medical software is highly desirable.
  • Experience introducing new cardiovascular technologies into hospitals is highly desirable.
  • Strong ability to quickly understand new clinical and technical information and communicate it effectively to healthcare professionals.
  • Knowledge of cardiac patient pathways and diagnostic technologies is preferred.
  • Ability to build relationships with clinical, administrative, and strategic stakeholders across complex healthcare organizations.
  • Strong customer-focused mindset with excellent consultative and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to explain medical technologies clearly to physicians and other healthcare professionals with varying levels of technical and clinical expertise.
  • Strong project organization skills, with the ability to initiate, manage, and complete customer programs independently.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to remain effective under pressure.
  • Highly self-motivated, organized, and accountable, with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and professional customer-facing etiquette.
  • Experience with Salesforce or a comparable CRM platform.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 20–25% from a home office.

Benefits:

  • Base compensation of $125,000 annually.
  • Eligibility for variable compensation/commission.
  • Total target compensation of $200,000, including base salary and variable compensation.
  • Home-office-based work structure.
