The position combines team leadership, data analysis, auditing, process improvement, system optimization, and cross-functional collaboration. You’ll work closely with clinical, finance, compliance, patient financial services, and technology teams to identify opportunities and strengthen revenue capture. Success requires strong analytical thinking, healthcare revenue cycle expertise, and the ability to translate complex findings into practical improvements. This is an impactful opportunity for an experienced revenue integrity professional who enjoys leading teams and improving systems, processes, and financial outcomes.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead and coordinate revenue integrity and charge capture activities, ensuring accurate and timely capture of chargeable services and effective charge reconciliation processes.
  • Manage the performance, productivity, and development of the Revenue Analyst team, providing feedback, coaching, constructive guidance, and accountability against departmental and organizational goals.
  • Analyze revenue cycle data, charge master configuration, charge capture, billing, and coding processes to identify revenue opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement.
  • Conduct charge capture assessments, audits, interviews, research, root-cause analyses, and outcomes reviews, providing well-supported recommendations for corrections and process improvements.
  • Monitor compliance with state, federal, payer, and organizational billing and reimbursement requirements, ensuring revenue integrity and clinical teams follow established policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Maintain and improve charge master processes, including CPT, HCPCS, revenue code, general ledger, and cost center considerations, while ensuring charging tools accurately reflect services provided.
  • Develop and maintain reports, audit tools, performance indicators, and trending analyses to measure revenue cycle outcomes and communicate findings to leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Provide education and ongoing communication to facility teams, service line leaders, charge champions, and corporate staff regarding charge capture, billing, coding, compliance, and regulatory changes.
  • Partner with Patient Financial Services, Finance, Compliance, Information Services, and other stakeholders on revenue management initiatives, strategic planning, and workflow improvements.
  • Support and enhance revenue cycle applications and reporting tools, including Epic Resolute HB/PB, Resolute HB/PB Claims, Craneware, and other related systems.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on projects and department initiatives by developing functional specifications, creating test scripts, conducting system testing, supporting upgrades and go-lives, and designing solutions that meet organizational needs.
  • Communicate results, challenges, opportunities, and recommended solutions through regular reporting, stakeholder interactions, and leadership meetings.
  • Lead the implementation and adoption of process improvements across charge capture functions and complete special projects as directed by revenue cycle leadership.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of hospital- or clinic-based revenue cycle experience, with a strong focus on revenue integrity and compliance.
  • 5+ years of hospital-based billing, coding, and charge capture experience, including strong knowledge of charge master components, CPT codes, HCPCS, revenue codes, general ledger structures, and cost centers.
  • Experience with charge capture, billing, or coding across areas such as pharmacy, radiology, surgery/anesthesia, outpatient clinics, and inpatient hospitalization.
  • 5+ years of experience working with Epic Professional Billing (PB) and Hospital Billing (HB).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, auditing, documentation, and process improvement skills, with the ability to turn complex data into actionable recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, manage competing priorities, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle operations, reimbursement requirements, compliance standards, and payer guidelines.
  • Experience partnering across Finance, Compliance, Information Services, Patient Financial Services, clinical departments, and other organizational functions.
  • Advanced application and analytical skills, with experience designing, building, testing, and optimizing technology-enabled solutions.
  • A master’s degree is preferred.
  • Applicable clinical or professional certifications and licenses are desirable, including HFMA, AAPC, CPC, or CRCT credentials.
  • Epic HB/PB certification is preferred.
Benefits
  • Fully remote position based in the United States.

  • Retirement plan with employer matching.
  • Compensation is determined based on relevant years of experience and internal departmental equity.
