Position Summary

The Production Coordinator supports day-to-day CNC production operations by coordinating work orders, schedules, and material flow on the shop floor while owning the reporting and analytics that inform supervisors and management. This role bridges hands-on floor coordination with data-driven production tracking, and includes structured mentorship from an experienced Production and Operations Supervisor.

Responsibilities

· Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.

· Track production performance, inventory utilization, material availability, and operational KPIs, preparing analytical summaries for supervisors and management.

· Monitor work orders, production schedules, inventory, and material movement to ensure operational accuracy and support timely production activities.

· Read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly lists to support accurate production coordination.

· Assist in designing and improving operational workflows, reporting processes, and manufacturing documentation to improve production efficiency.

· Build and analyze complex spreadsheets and dashboards using Power BI, Microsoft Excel, and Google Sheets.

· Receive structured training from an experienced Production and Operations Supervisor on manufacturing systems, operational analytics, and quality standards.

· Collaborate with CNC operators and floor personnel to ensure production schedules and material availability align with operational goals.

Requirements:

Qualifications

· High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor’s in Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Technology, Drafting/CAD, or a related field preferred.

· 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, production, or CNC-adjacent operations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Demonstrated proficiency in Power BI, Microsoft Excel, and Google Sheets, including building and analyzing complex spreadsheets.

· Familiarity with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or general drafting principles preferred.

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple schedules, work orders, and reporting deadlines simultaneously.

· Clear written and verbal communication skills for preparing summaries and coordinating across floor and management teams.

· Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and teamwork.

· Ability to read, write, and interpret fabrication drawings, understand work instructions, safety procedures, and production documentation in English required.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Physical Requirements

· Must be able to stand for prolonged periods (8+ hours)

· Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs. independently

· Must pass initial and ongoing physical or occupational health screenings (e.g., lifting assessment, vision test, hearing test, fitness for duty test, etc.)

· Must be able to wear required PPE, including steel-toe boots, gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection

· Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and manual handling of materials required

· Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity

· Ability to tolerate noise, heat, and dust in a manufacturing environment

· Visual acuity to read measuring tools, drawings, and detect quality defects

Work Environment

Manufacturing floor with exposure to moving mechanical parts, sharp materials, and moderate to loud noise. May be exposed to hot or cold environments depending on season. Work schedule may include overtime or weekend shifts as needed.
