Custodial Post-Event Shift Supervisor in Salt Lake City, Utah at Jazz Basketball Investors Inc

JOB SUMMARY:

The Custodial Supervisor works closely with the Custodial Shift Manager and Assistant Manager to help motivate a large custodial crew at the Delta Center. This person understands the overall goals of the facility and manages the day-to-day operations to meet those goals. The Custodial Supervisor is jointly responsible with the Custodial Managers for a “show ready” appearance and high standard of cleanliness. $20 per hour, typical shift runs roughy from 6pm-1am, but hours may vary depending on the event. Some shifts last until 3am.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in leading, managing and motivating a large team of custodial staff
• Strive to maintain and preserve the cleanest arena in the NBA
• Work side-by-side with custodial staff to accomplish task with efficiency and attention to detail
• Adapt the timing and tasks of the workload daily to meet changing needs
• Respond to the needs and demands of the crew and facilities, as challenges arise
• Help to train new employees how to complete tasks
• Assist in control of sanitation throughout the building
• Report needed repairs to manager
• Ensure a safe working environment for employees
• Work side-by-side with staff on event and post event clean up
• Protect the reputation of the company

• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must pass a background check and drug test
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays
• High School education or equivalent experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years custodial experience preferred
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division )

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally
• This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate, and assess
• This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time
• This person must be able to lift 20 lbs
