As a Registered Veterinary Technician on our Surgery team, you'll work alongside board-certified surgeons providing advanced surgical care while utilizing cutting-edge technology and delivering exceptional outcomes for pets and their families.

Our Surgery team performs a wide variety of complex soft tissue, orthopedic, neurologic, and minimally invasive procedures, offering outstanding opportunities to expand your technical expertise while working with experienced specialists.

• Prepare patients and surgical suites for specialty surgical procedures.
• Assist surgeons and veterinarians during advanced surgical procedures.
• Induce, monitor, and recover patients under anesthesia.
• Place intravenous and urinary catheters and perform venipuncture and blood collection.
• Administer medications, including controlled substances, under veterinarian supervision.
• Perform basic laboratory testing to support patient care.
• Monitor patient status throughout surgery and recovery while communicating updates to the medical team.
• Maintain accurate medical records and anesthesia documentation.
• Support client communication during patient examinations and treatment.
• Participate in on-call, weekend, and holiday coverage as needed.
• Follow OSHA standards and hospital safety protocols.
• Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams.
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture.

• Current California Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license.
• Strong anesthesia administration and monitoring skills.
• Excellent technical, organizational, and mathematical abilities.
• Strong communication and client service skills.
• Experience in veterinary surgery or specialty practice preferred.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced specialty hospital.
