Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to manage the daily activities of our Villawood warehouse. This role is responsible for supervising the warehouse team, maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring retail-store transfers and customer orders are picked, packed and dispatched correctly and on time.
This is a practical leadership position suited to someone who is organised, accountable and comfortable working directly with the warehouse team.
Key responsibilities
Supervise daily warehouse receiving, put-away, picking, packing and dispatch activities.
Allocate work and monitor the productivity and accuracy of warehouse staff.
Manage online customer orders and stock transfers to Lamilas retail stores.
Review Shopify orders and transfers before releasing work to the warehouse team.
Ensure products are picked against the correct SKU, barcode, quantity and bin location.
Maintain accurate inventory records and investigate stock discrepancies.
Coordinate cycle counts, stocktakes and inventory adjustments.
Check incoming deliveries against purchase orders, invoices and receiving documents.
Ensure damaged, returned, tester and quarantined stock is identified and stored correctly.
Maintain clear warehouse bin locations, product labelling and stock organisation.
Monitor packing quality, shipping labels and dispatch documentation.
Coordinate with Operations, Retail, E-commerce and Finance teams.
Ensure workplace safety, housekeeping and manual-handling procedures are followed.
Assist with container unloading and major stock receipts when required.
Train and coach warehouse pick-and-pack employees.
Report warehouse performance, stock issues and operational risks to the Head of Operations.
About you
Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor, Team Leader or Senior Storeperson.
Demonstrated experience supervising warehouse employees.
Strong understanding of receiving, inventory control, picking, packing and dispatch.
Experience using Shopify, a warehouse-management system or inventory software is highly regarded.
Strong attention to detail and confidence investigating stock discrepancies.
Good organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritise store transfers and customer orders in a fast-moving environment.
Comfortable working in a hands-on role rather than an office-only position.
Basic Excel and computer skills.
Reliable, accountable and able to meet deadlines.
Preferred qualifications
Current LF Forklift Licence.
Experience in retail distribution or e-commerce fulfilment.
Experience conducting cycle counts and stocktakes.
Knowledge of dangerous-goods storage and handling requirements.
First-aid or workplace-safety training.
