This role is a high-impact commercial position focused on driving national retail growth across Canada and the U.S. within a fast-scaling wholesale distribution environment.
The National Account Manager will be responsible for expanding strategic retail partnerships, increasing product assortment, and unlocking new revenue opportunities across major retail channels.
The position requires a strong hunter mentality, with a focus on building new relationships with retail buyers and category managers while growing existing accounts.
It operates in a dynamic, entrepreneurial setting where collaboration with product, operations, and vendor teams is key to execution success.
The role combines strategic account development with hands-on sales execution, including negotiation, pipeline building, and market expansion.
This is a remote position based in Canada, with travel across Canada and the U.S. as needed.
- Develop and grow national and regional retail accounts across Canada and the U.S., driving revenue and market expansion
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with retailers, carriers, dealers, and distribution partners
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline focused on new account acquisition and SKU expansion within existing accounts
- Negotiate commercial agreements with retail partners, ensuring profitability and long-term growth
- Collaborate with internal product, pricing, inventory, and operations teams to support go-to-market execution
- Drive promotional strategies and assortment planning to maximize retail performance and category penetration
- Manage and strengthen relationships with vendor and retail partners to ensure alignment and execution success
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and retail dynamics to identify growth opportunities
- 7+ years of experience in sales, national accounts, business development, or channel/retail distribution roles
- Proven experience selling into major retail accounts or large-scale retail networks
- Strong hunter mentality with a track record of acquiring new business and growing account portfolios
- Experience in consumer products, wholesale distribution, CPG, electronics, telecom, or retail channel sales preferred
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills with senior retail stakeholders
- Ability to manage complex accounts and deliver measurable revenue and margin growth
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong organizational and pipeline management skills
- Comfortable working remotely while managing travel across Canada and the U.S.
- Base salary: $85,000 – $95,000 CAD
- On-target earnings (OTE) around $130,000 with additional upside for overachievement
