Job Description
BuildingPoint is the industry leader in building construction technology. As the dealer for Trimble, HP SitePrint, and LightYX, we are at the forefront of layout & 3D scanning technologies that are being rapidly adopted across all construction trades. Lack of skilled labor is an industry wide problem, and our customers struggle to locate & onboard personnel with experience related to construction technology, which is a gap that we are looking to fill.
Our BuildingPoint Trainer will conduct in-person training and certifications for our customers, providing them the tools & skillsets they’ll need to implement our technologies on their construction sites. This role will be the catalyst for change the industry needs and will be instrumental in providing our customers with qualified and skilled technology operators.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Effectively manage a training calendar and coordinate between sales & customers to schedule in person training.
· Travel within TX, OK, NM, and AZ to conduct on-site training & certifications for our customers.
· Stay current with technology & product updates so that we can advise our customers of the latest workflows.
Requirements:POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
· 5+ Years construction layout experience, preferably utilizing Trimble GNSS, Robotic Total Stations, and Scanning equipment.
· 2+ Years experience training new users on construction layout technologies.
· Ability to travel up to 50%, including overnight
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
· Bi-lingual (English/Spanish)
· Experience with AutoCAD
· Experience working with Trimble FieldLink
· Experience with HP SitePrint or competitive products
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
· Strong attention to detail and adaptability to handle several tasks simultaneously.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet, SharePoint, and Teams.
· Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
· Flexibility to work past normal business hours as necessary.
