This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake) based in Netherlands.
This is a senior-level opportunity focused on designing and optimizing Snowflake environments and customer data foundations that power CRM, personalization, and audience activation.
You will transform fragmented customer data into scalable, actionable foundations for engagement across multiple channels.
The role combines Snowflake architecture, advanced data modeling, identity resolution, segmentation, and downstream activation.
You will build reliable data pipelines and schemas supporting platforms such as Braze, Hightouch, CDPs, and other customer engagement tools.
Your work will directly help organizations create unified customer profiles, improve audience readiness, and unlock more effective lifecycle marketing.
You’ll collaborate with technical and commercial stakeholders across data, CRM, analytics, CDP, and marketing functions in a remote-first international environment.

- Design, build, and maintain scalable Snowflake data models supporting customer engagement, reporting, segmentation, and audience activation.
- Develop customer-level data structures that enable personalization, lifecycle marketing, and sophisticated audience management.
- Translate customer engagement requirements into robust Snowflake models and schemas that are ready for CDP and downstream activation.
- Build and maintain pipelines that synchronize customer data with Braze, Hightouch, CDPs, and other engagement platforms.
- Work with identity resolution, consent frameworks, event tracking, and customer-profile unification to create reliable customer data foundations.
- Support the development of Customer 360 views and improve audience readiness across email, push, SMS, web, app, and other channels.
- Optimize Snowflake environments for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency across large and complex datasets.
- Establish strong data-quality, governance, privacy, and compliance practices across customer-facing data models.
- Collaborate closely with CRM, CDP, analytics, marketing, and engineering stakeholders to ensure data solutions address real business and customer-engagement needs.
- Help clients turn fragmented data into actionable insights and scalable engagement strategies.
- Contribute to a culture of ownership, collaboration, continuous learning, and entrepreneurial problem-solving.
- Deep expertise in Snowflake, including architecture, data modeling, optimization, performance tuning, scalability, and cost management.
- Strong experience working with customer data platforms, identity resolution, customer-profile architecture, and Customer 360 initiatives.
- Professional experience supporting CRM and customer engagement platforms such as Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Bloomreach, or Adobe Campaign.
- Strong understanding of customer events, user attributes, audience segmentation, personalization, and lifecycle marketing use cases.
- Experience with reverse ETL technologies such as Hightouch or Census.
- Advanced SQL and dbt skills, with the ability to design scalable, maintainable, customer-centric data models.
- Familiarity with consent management, privacy frameworks, data governance, and the responsible handling of customer information.
- Experience working with multi-channel engagement data across email, push notifications, SMS, web, and mobile applications.
- Ability to communicate complex data engineering and customer-data concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, combined with an ownership mindset and a pragmatic approach to delivering solutions.
- Comfortable working in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment where collaboration extends beyond your immediate responsibilities.
- Experience implementing or supporting CDPs such as Segment, mParticle, Tealium, or RudderStack is a plus.
- Familiarity with predictive modeling, AI-driven segmentation, or propensity scoring is desirable.
- Experience with loyalty, retail, QSR, financial services, or subscription-based customer datasets is advantageous.
- Understanding of Braze data structures, Currents, custom events, and Connected Content is a plus.
- Valid authorization to work in the country of residence is required; visa sponsorship is not available.
- Comfortable working under a BYOD policy and, where applicable, providing required incorporation and insurance documentation for contracting arrangements.
