Position Summary
The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing all dealership marketing strategies to drive customer traffic, increase sales, and enhance brand awareness. This role oversees digital and traditional marketing efforts, advertising campaigns, social media, and promotional activities to support dealership growth across all departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans to achieve dealership sales and traffic goals.
- Manage digital marketing campaigns, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media.
- Oversee advertising initiatives across print, radio, television, and online platforms.
- Coordinate promotional events, sales campaigns, and community outreach activities.
- Analyze marketing performance metrics and adjust strategies to improve results.
- Maintain dealership branding consistency across all marketing channels.
- Manage marketing budgets and ensure cost-effective allocation of resources.
- Work with vendors, agencies, and internal teams to produce marketing materials.
- Update and maintain dealership website content and online listings.
- Monitor competitor marketing activities and market trends.
- Support inventory marketing strategies for new and used vehicle sales.
- Collaborate with sales, service, and management teams to align marketing efforts with business goals.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of marketing principles, digital advertising, and branding strategies.
- Excellent communication and creative thinking skills.
- Strong analytical ability to interpret marketing data and performance metrics.
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency with digital marketing tools, analytics platforms, and CRM systems.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field required.
- 3–5+ years of marketing experience required.
- Automotive dealership or retail marketing experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with digital marketing platforms and advertising analytics preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
- Frequent use of computers, phones, and marketing software tools.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds (marketing materials or displays).
- Ability to attend events, meetings, and dealership functions as needed.
- Ability to work flexible hours during campaigns or events.
Work Environment
Work is performed primarily in a dealership office environment with frequent computer use, collaboration with staff and vendors, and occasional on-site event coordination in a fast-paced, creative, and deadline-driven setting.
