Accountabilities:

Design, prepare, and maintain sophisticated Excel spreadsheets and cost models supporting resource planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Prepare monthly financial reporting packages comparing actual results against budgets and forecasts for management review.
Investigate significant cost variances and collaborate with business stakeholders to identify root causes, financial drivers, and opportunities for cost reduction.
Identify, measure, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and other operational and financial metrics.
Conduct ad hoc financial and budgetary investigations to address emerging business questions and support decision-making.
Develop insightful, actionable analyses that clearly explain financial performance, trends, and underlying business drivers.
Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, enhance the quality of financial information, and streamline report production and distribution.
Troubleshoot reporting issues, investigate data anomalies, and ensure financial information is accurate, consistent, and reliable.
Design clear, concise, professional reports that are easy for stakeholders to interpret, update, and distribute.
Partner effectively with cross-functional teams while balancing independent analysis with collaborative problem-solving.
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying ways to make financial processes and reporting more efficient.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of related professional or military experience.
At least 2 years of experience in audit, accounting, FP&A, or a closely related financial function.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline is preferred.
Four or more years of relevant experience, particularly in budgeting and forecasting, is advantageous.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop detailed, accurate, and actionable interpretations of financial and operational results.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to different audiences.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies, anomalies, and meaningful financial trends.
Ability to quickly learn and become proficient in new software applications and reporting tools.
Self-motivated and comfortable working independently with limited supervision while also contributing effectively within a team.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
