About This Position

Position Description:

Overview:

As an Operations Procurement Agent, you will manage complex work packages in a multifaceted environment. Managing the entire procurement process across all Circle Seafoods sites, including purchasing, receiving deliveries, inventory organization, and oversight. Maintain excellent communication and teamwork with key personnel, demonstrate financial keen insight, oversee inventory, nurture vendor partnerships, and handle procurement for various items in all departments and locations of Circle Seafoods.

Responsibilities:

Contributes to the improvement of existing processes, including the deployment of strategic supplier management and procurement strategies.

Software Competency: Proficiency in CMMS and Asset Management platforms is required. The procurement individual should have expertise in setting up the system.

Thorough understanding of integrating comprehensive and beneficial software solutions.

Collaboration/High-level communication

Engineering Department:

Comprehension of technical specifications and requirements for construction-related procurements.

Collaborate with Office Manager(s) to ensure timely restocking and procurement of office supplies and amenities.

Construction Supply Management

Timely completion of all necessary purchases/orders for construction projects.

Barge/Seasonal:

Work closely with barge managers, QC, cook, and other team members to ensure timely stocking and ordering for summer seasons.

Finance Team

Relationship Building & Maintenance

Establish and uphold strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure smooth communication for Circle.

Act as the primary point of contact between all vendors and the team.

Responsible for completing and submitting credit applications to key vendors.

Proactively engage with vendors, seeking cost-effective and high-quality products and methods.Financial Literacy.

Collaborate closely with the finance department.

Innovation/Operational Efficiency

Identify and address inefficiencies within procurement operations.Implement best practices as necessary, such as introducing new software, streamlining processes, and enhancing operational efficiency.

Purchase Order/Inventory Management

Develop best practices for purchasing and inventory management, including managing purchase orders, tracking numbers, and inventory counts.

Receiving

Establish best practices for managing item receipts and documenting their reception. Coordinate container vans, schedule third-party truckers, and manage arrivals/deliveries with the team.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
  • Experience in setting up procurement software systems (ex: Limble)
  • High-level analytical skills
  • 2+ years of experience in a Procurement position or related role ideally with a background in construction
  • Excellent communication/Collaborative
  • Detail-oriented with ability to see high-level overview at all times

Typical Education/ Experience:

  • Typically, 3 or more years of related work experience or relevant experience.
  • Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
