Job Description

Description:

What You’ll Do

Good Clean Dog is a fast-growing startup on a mission to disrupt the dog-grooming industry by creating a better experience for dogs, the people who love them, and the professionals who care for them.

We’re looking for a Marketing & Community Coordinator to turn our marketing plans into thoughtful, organized execution. This person will help plan and execute campaigns and new-shop launches, build relationships throughout the St. Louis community, support our online community, and bring customer acquisition and retention programs to life in HubSpot.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys making connections, coordinating details, and moving projects forward. The right person will be equally comfortable reaching out to a potential partner, representing Good Clean Dog at a local event, responding to an online review, and building an email campaign in HubSpot.

What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate assigned components of marketing campaigns, new-shop launches, in-shop promotions, and other growth initiatives.
  • Research, establish, and maintain relationships with local businesses, influencers, community organizations, and other potential brand partners.
  • Identify and coordinate community events, sponsorships, pop-ups, and grassroots marketing opportunities.
  • Represent Good Clean Dog at select community events and ensure each activation is organized, on-brand, and prepared for success.
  • Coordinate influencer and community partnerships, including outreach, scheduling, deliverables, event logistics, and follow-up.
  • Support building and scheduling approved email and SMS campaigns in HubSpot to support acquisition, onboarding, rebooking, retention, and reactivation.
  • Partner with our content team to respond to social media comments, direct messages, and online reviews, escalating customer questions or concerns when appropriate.
  • Maintain marketing calendars, project trackers, partner records, campaign assets, and event materials.
  • Support select digital-marketing initiatives, such as updating local listings, coordinating website content changes, and gathering assets or information for paid-media campaigns.
  • Track results from assigned campaigns, events, partnerships, and CRM communications and help identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate with shop teams, vendors, agency partners, and other stakeholders to keep assigned initiatives organized and on schedule.

What Success Looks Like

  • Assigned campaigns, promotions, and shop-launch initiatives are accurately executed and delivered on schedule.
  • Good Clean Dog develops meaningful community, business, and influencer relationships that increase local awareness and create new pet-parent opportunities.
  • Community events and partnerships are organized, well represented, and evaluated based on their impact.
  • Email and SMS campaigns are launched accurately and aligned with current acquisition and retention priorities.
  • Our online community receives timely, helpful, and consistently on-brand engagement, with customer concerns appropriately escalated.
  • Projects, partners, assets, and timelines remain organized, and results help inform what Good Clean Dog should continue, improve, or test next.
Requirements:

What We’re Looking For

  • 2–4 years of experience in marketing, community engagement, partnerships, events, communications, or a related role.
  • A proactive, highly organized person who takes ownership and follows through.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a natural ability to build relationships.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to communicate in a warm, professional, and consistent brand voice.
  • Comfort managing multiple projects, partners, and deadlines within a limited weekly schedule.
  • Experience with CRM, email marketing, or marketing-automation platforms; HubSpot experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with social media, online review management, and community engagement.
  • Familiarity with Google Business Profile, Google Analytics, paid digital media, or basic marketing reporting is a plus.
  • Comfort reviewing performance data and connecting marketing activities to measurable business results.
  • Willingness to attend occasional community events outside traditional business hours.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for Good Clean Dog’s mission, a passion for dogs (or at least like them A LOT), and the opportunity to help build a growing brand.

Additional Information

  • Candidates who are invited to participate in the final round will be required to undergo a short assessment to determine cultural and professional fit.
  • The selected candidate will be required to sign an employment agreement, including an NDA and non-compete / non-solicitation clause.

Compensation & Work Structure

  • Employment type: Part-time
  • Schedule: Approximately 20–25 hours per week
  • Compensation: $27–$33 per hour, based on experience
  • Work structure: Hybrid remote and in-office, with regular in-person work at Good Clean Dog’s headquarters, shops, community events, and partner locations throughout the St. Louis area
  • Availability: Some evening or weekend availability may occasionally be required for community events

Please include a copy of your resume and a list of at least 2 professional references with your application.
