Weekend Caregiver – Pocatello, ID
About the RoleHappy To Help Caregiving is seeking compassionate, dependable individuals to join our caregiving team serving clients throughout Pocatello, Chubbuck, and surrounding communities.
We are currently hiring caregivers who are available to work weekend shifts. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to earn extra income while making a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities.
As a Weekend Caregiver, you'll provide non-medical support that helps clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. You'll build meaningful relationships, provide peace of mind to families, and help clients maintain the dignity and quality of life they deserve.
What You'll DoDepending on the client's needs and individualized care plan, responsibilities may include:
• Providing companionship, conversation, and emotional support
• Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene
• Preparing meals and snacks according to client preferences and dietary needs
• Performing light housekeeping tasks including laundry, dishes, changing linens, and maintaining a clean living environment
• Providing medication reminders according to the care plan (no handling or administering medications)
• Assisting with mobility, transfers, walking, and repositioning
• Providing transportation assistance for errands, appointments, grocery shopping, and approved outings
• Providing respite care support for family caregivers
• Following care plans and documenting services provided appropriately
• Communicating changes in client needs or concerns to the office promptly
• Supporting each client's independence, routines, preferences, and overall well-being
Our caregivers help create a safe, respectful, and positive experience for every client while maintaining professionalism and strong personal boundaries.
QualificationsWe're looking for individuals who are:
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable
• Professional and respectful in client homes
• Strong communicators with a positive attitude
• Comfortable assisting with personal care and mobility support
• Reliable and punctual
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
Previous caregiving, CNA, healthcare, customer service, or home care experience is a plus, but not required. We value character, reliability, and a willingness to learn.
