Job Description
Position Summary
The Administrative and Clinical Medical Assistant plays an integral role in delivering an exceptional patient experience by providing both administrative and clinical support throughout the patient's visit. This position is responsible for front office operations including patient scheduling, registration, check-in/check-out, phone communication, retail sales, payment collection, while also assisting providers with clinical patient care, treatment preparation, documentation, and clinical procedures. This position is cross-trained in both administrative and clinical functions and is expected to transition between front office and back office responsibilities based on daily operational needs, patient volume, and business demands. Flexibility, teamwork, and a willingness to support all areas of the practice are essential components of this role.

Anticipated Hiring Wage
- $18-22, depending on experience
Administrative Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Greet patients.
- Schedule appointments.
- Manage calls, voicemails and leads.
- Verify demographics and insurance.
- Collect payments.
- Check patients in/out and schedule follow-ups.
- Educate on products/promotions and process retail sales.
- Maintain reception areas.
- Assist inventory and shipments.
- Attend meetings and trainings.
- Other duties as assigned.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Escort and prepare patients.
- Obtain/document histories.
- Prepare treatment rooms.
- Assist providers during procedures.
- Provide pre/post instructions.
- Take standardized photos.
- Apply topical anesthetics and prepare injectables as directed.
- Perform blood draws/injections within certification.
- Document in EHR.
- Clean and stock rooms.
- Maintain infection control and confidentiality.
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED.
- Medical Assistant Certification
- Current Phlebotomy Certification preferred
- 2+ years medical office experience preferred
- Aesthetic experience preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Customer service, communication, anatomy, medical terminology, EHR, insurance processes, organization, teamwork, professionalism.
Physical Requirements
- Sit, stand, walk, bend; lift up to 20 lbs; use computer and medical equipment.
