SUMMARY:

Responsible for overseeing a wide variety of warehouse activities including but not limited to shipping, receiving, storing and delivering items within the warehouse and distribution center. Responsibilities also include but are not limited to the supervision of warehouse and distribution center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTES:

  • Accomplishes warehouse objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, maintaining a high level of motivation and morale, and disciplining employees, when appropriate.
  • Communicates job expectations to all warehouse and distribution center employees.
  • Leads the team in all aspects of promoting the company safety program, immediately identifying and eliminating risks and driving safe working habits and behaviors.
  • Ensures that all warehouse and distribution center activities adheres to existing policies and procedures; including but not limited to full compliance with all OSHA regulations and GMP’s.
  • Meets warehouse operational standards by contributing warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying warehouse system improvements.
  • Meets warehouse financial standards by providing annual budget information, monitoring expenditures, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Moves inventory by scheduling materials to be moved to and from warehouses and coordinating inventory transfers with related departments.
  • Delivers supplies and equipment to departments by receiving and transferring items.
  • Maintains storage area by organizing floor space, adhering to storage design principles, and recommending improvements.
  • Maintains inventory by conducting monthly physical counts; reconciling variances, and inputting data into the WMS system.
  • Performs visual quality inspections of product in the warehouse and reports issues accordingly.
  • Monitor and communicate short coded product to ensure sales.
  • Support manufacturing to ensure all rework procedures are followed.
  • Assist with inbound/outbound paperwork, errors, tracking and records filing.
  • Maintains documentation associated with inventory
  • Keeps equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, requiring preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.
  • Works daily with production, customer service and distribution to ensure that external customer order fulfillment requirements are met accurately and on time.
  • Maintains solid customer satisfaction levels relating to quality, accuracy of loads and on-time delivery, while ensuring the highest level of operational efficiencies.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational and training opportunities.
  • All employees are expected to support the Safe Quality Food (SQF) Program by following food safety and quality procedures, maintaining hygiene and cleanliness, and reporting any concerns. Team members must understand their role in the SQF System, complete required training, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement to ensure safe, high-quality products.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum high school diploma with higher education or certification required.
  • At least three (3) years of Manufacturing Warehouse Supervisory experience preferred.
  • At least five (5) years of Manufacturing Warehouse experience preferred.

  • The work environment may require working in the cooler room with varying degrees of temperature and may include contact with water or dairy liquids.
  • Exposed to a noise level of 90 decibels. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate/high. Wet/slippery work conditions.
