This executive role provides enterprise-level leadership and strategic direction for technical services across a multi-site healthcare organization.
You will shape technical strategy while ensuring critical dialysis equipment, water systems, and facility infrastructure remain safe, reliable, and compliant.
The position combines long-term planning, operational excellence, innovation, capital management, and continuous improvement.
You will partner closely with clinical, operations, construction, and corporate leaders to align technical capabilities with patient care and organizational growth.
The role also oversees geographically dispersed technical teams and establishes performance standards that support quality, safety, scalability, and accountability.
You will play a central role in expansion initiatives, technology adoption, regulatory readiness, emergency preparedness, and infrastructure planning.
With significant enterprise influence and up to 60% travel, this position offers an opportunity to shape technical services strategy across a complex healthcare environment.

• Lead the development and execution of the technical services strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities, clinical needs, operational performance, and growth objectives.
• Oversee enterprise technical operations to achieve financial, operational, quality, safety, and growth targets while maintaining high standards of service.
• Support organizational expansion initiatives, including new clinic development, acquisitions, facility relocations, and associated technical and infrastructure planning.
• Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, products, treatment modalities, and technical solutions that can improve operational performance and patient care.
• Develop and manage capital planning strategies, including asset lifecycle management, equipment replacement, infrastructure investment, and long-term resource planning.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives designed to increase efficiency, reduce downtime, optimize equipment performance, and strengthen technical service delivery.
• Ensure dialysis equipment, water systems, and related infrastructure comply with organizational policies, manufacturer specifications, Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) covering quality, safety, reliability, operational performance, and technical service effectiveness.
• Identify opportunities to improve business processes and technical practices in ways that enhance clinical and financial outcomes while prioritizing patient safety.
• Standardize and scale preventive maintenance programs, technical procedures, and operational practices across geographically dispersed locations.
• Maintain expertise in federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and relevant healthcare technical standards.
• Ensure chronic, acute, and home care programs maintain compliance and remain prepared for inspections, audits, certifications, and regulatory reviews.
• Lead audit preparedness, corrective action planning, regulatory response activities, and implementation of systems such as electronic documentation and tracking tools.
• Partner on enterprise emergency preparedness and disaster response planning to strengthen operational resilience.
• Oversee the performance and reliability of dialysis equipment, water treatment systems, facility infrastructure, and other critical technical assets.
• Provide technical leadership for clinic design, equipment selection, infrastructure planning, and the integration of technical requirements into facility projects.
• Champion innovation and modernization of technical programs, tools, processes, and technologies while ensuring alignment with evolving clinical practices and treatment models.
• Collaborate with clinical, operations, construction, corporate, and other organizational stakeholders to maintain safe, compliant, and appropriate physical environments.
• Communicate technical performance, risks, priorities, opportunities, and investment requirements clearly across the organization.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with vendors, contractors, and external partners while supporting cost management and enterprise-wide initiatives.
• Promote a culture of service excellence, accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement across the technical organization.
• Lead, develop, and support Technical Directors and regional technical leaders while establishing clear performance expectations and accountability.
• Develop career pathways and professional development opportunities for technical team members and partner with Human Resources on recruitment, performance management, and succession planning.

• A Bachelor’s degree in biomedical technology, business, or a related field is required, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
• At least 5 years of technical leadership experience within a multi-site healthcare environment is required.
• Deep knowledge of dialysis equipment, water treatment systems, healthcare technical infrastructure, and applicable regulatory and industry standards is essential.
• Proven experience leading large, geographically dispersed technical teams is required.
• Strong strategic thinking and execution skills, with the ability to translate enterprise priorities into measurable technical and operational outcomes.
• Demonstrated financial and operational acumen, including experience with capital planning, asset management, budgeting, and cost optimization.
• Strong leadership, coaching, talent development, organizational development, and succession planning capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and collaborate across clinical, operational, construction, and corporate functions.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a demonstrated ability to evaluate complex technical and operational challenges and develop practical solutions.
• Strong understanding of quality, safety, compliance, risk management, and regulatory readiness within healthcare environments.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead strategic initiatives in a complex, geographically distributed organization.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently, including overnight travel, of up to approximately 60%.
• Ability to work effectively in clinical and technical environments that may involve exposure to chemicals, biohazards, and moderate noise levels.
• Ability to perform physical activities that may be required in technical and facility settings.
