This is a remote leadership opportunity focused on driving operational rigor and execution across a complex portfolio of initiatives.
You will establish the cadence, visibility, and governance needed to keep priorities moving and outcomes measurable.
The role turns fragmented operational data into clear insights, executive-level reporting, and actionable recommendations.
You will work across Operations, Technology, Product, Clinical, PMO, Finance, and Change Management teams.
Success requires strong judgment, analytical thinking, stakeholder management, and disciplined follow-through.
You will also help strengthen portfolio management practices, improve execution maturity, and support sustainable operational excellence.

- Maintain the portfolio operating rhythm through weekly status cadences, RAID management, risk escalation, follow-up tracking, and leadership-readiness activities.
- Ensure initiatives have clear ownership, defined KPIs, measurable outcomes, accurate status updates, and appropriate visibility within portfolio management tools.
- Identify execution gaps, inconsistencies, risks, and delivery drift early, escalating issues with relevant context and practical recommendations.
- Consolidate initiative updates into concise executive dashboards, summaries, governance materials, portfolio readouts, and decision-support narratives.
- Translate complex and fragmented operational information into clear insights covering risks, dependencies, decisions, progress, and performance against targets.
- Maintain portfolio-wide visibility into initiative health, sequencing, operational impact, and benefits realization.
- Develop and maintain KPIs and metrics covering initiative progress, operational performance, delivery effectiveness, and realized benefits.
- Partner with Finance and initiative owners to validate KPI logic, assumptions, timelines, measurement approaches, and data integrity.
- Conduct root-cause analysis when execution trends or performance metrics fall below expectations and support corrective action planning.
- Coordinate cross-functional dependencies and facilitate collaboration across Operations, Technology, Product, Clinical, PMO, Finance, and Change Management teams.
- Support initiative owners in removing blockers, maintaining momentum, meeting commitments, and driving consistent follow-through.
- Assist with change-readiness activities, stakeholder coordination, and operational adoption initiatives when required.
- Contribute to the standardization of portfolio management routines, governance practices, operational excellence tools, and scalable ways of working.
- Capture lessons learned and operational insights to strengthen future execution and improve portfolio maturity.
- Maintain compliance with applicable corporate policies, including HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent directly relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree.
- 8+ years of experience in operational excellence, portfolio operations, business operations, PMO transformation execution, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain execution discipline across multiple concurrent initiatives within a matrixed organization.
- Proven experience developing executive-ready dashboards, portfolio summaries, governance materials, and performance reporting.
- Strong ability to synthesize complex operational information and translate it into concise, actionable insights for leadership.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across different organizational levels.
- Strong organizational skills, judgment, meeting cadence discipline, ownership, and follow-through.
- Ability to identify priorities, manage ambiguity, and operate with urgency and professionalism in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and executive communication capabilities.
- Experience in healthcare services, technology delivery, or other regulated environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, or operational excellence methodologies is a plus.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of execution and operational rigor.
- Willingness and ability to travel for business, up to approximately 10%.
- For candidates without a bachelor’s degree, directly relevant professional experience may be considered as an alternative; an Associate’s degree combined with relevant experience may also be considered.
- Salary: $86,320–$110,000 per year, with placement within the range based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications.
