About the role
The Media Buyer is responsible for development, negotiation, implementation, tracking and optimization of traditional media campaigns that may include broadcast, radio, print, and OOH.
Media Buyer is responsible for making digital media recommendations (display, video, CTV, streaming audio) and crafting omni channel strategies.
With assigned clients from A to Z, the Media Buyer will handle analysis, strategy, planning, execution, budget management, billing, optimization, and results.
What you'll do
- Local media research, planning and buying across various markets nationally
- Effectively and judiciously develop and maintain an optimal media mix for our valued clients
- Maintain cooperative cross-functional relations across all agency departments
- Cultivate strong working relationships with media representatives
- Effectively communicate media rationale internally and direct to clients
- Analyze performance reporting and adjust based on findings
- Develop quarterly post buy analysis reporting, securing associated make-goods
- Mentor junior media staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field required
- 3-5 years of media planning and/or buying experience in a fast-paced agency/client environment
- HVAC or Home Services experience a plus but not required
Skills & Experience:
- Microsoft Office proficient (specifically Excel and PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with Strata, SQAD, and other media tools
- Strong organization skills with great attention to detail
- A solid work ethic with the self-motivation needed to exceed expectations
- Technologically savvy, remaining on top of the latest trends
- Great willingness to learn and take direction
- Ability to function effectively under tight deadlines
