Job Description

A Team That Gives You Room to Grow

At Park Landscape Group, we exist to enhance life outdoors and build long-term, rewarding careers for our team. Operating as Western Canada's premier commercial landscape partner, we deliver landscape construction, grounds maintenance, and snow management across Alberta.

We don't leave your career to chance. When you join Park, you join an earnest, hard-working team backed by modern equipment, clear safety standards, and real opportunities to advance.

The Role: Crew Member, Grounds Management

We provide the tools, technology, and support; you bring the skill and dedication. In this role, you will play a key part as a primary architect of landscape health, appearance, and site safety across commercial properties, working alongside experienced team leads to bridge the gap between field execution and clean, high-precision results.

Your Daily Impact:

  • Horticultural Excellence: Perform professional lawn maintenance (mowing, edging, aeration) and garden bed care, including the planting, mulching, and pruning of annuals, shrubs, and trees to promote site curb appeal.

  • Equipment Mastery: Safely operate and maintain a variety of commercial landscape machinery and tools (from zero-turn mowers and blowers to trimmers), utilizing digital asset and job tracking systems like Aspire and SiteDocs.

  • Proactive Execution: Live our "From Start to Satisfied" approach by executing with precision, maintaining site cleanliness, and ensuring every property meets quality standards.

  • Safety Leadership: Live our core value of Working Safe & Working Smart by participating in daily tailgate meetings and hazard assessments (FLHAs) to maintain a safe, hazard-free job site.

  • All-Season Versatility: Transition to comprehensive commercial snow and ice management from November through April, maintaining a flexible schedule to ensure client site safety during Alberta winters.

Essentials for Success (Qualifications & Skills)

To thrive in this role, you will need a solid technical foundation and a strong work ethic:

  • Knowledge: Familiarity with horticultural care, site-specific hazard assessments, and Alberta OH&S regulations.

  • Skills: Proficiency in operating commercial landscape equipment; comfort using mobile technology and digital tracking systems (e.g., Aspire, SiteDocs) for time and safety tracking.

  • Abilities: Physical capacity to lift up to 50 lbs, stand and walk for extended hours in varying seasonal weather; strong "Can-Do" attitude; valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License is a strong asset.

Compensation & Total Rewards

Your rewards package is designed to support your daily success and long-term financial goals:

  • Competitive Hourly Wage: Based on experience and skill level.

  • Predictable Paychecks: Through our Alberta Hours of Work Averaging Agreement, we offer banked time options to keep your pay steady during weather delays or seasonal shifts.

  • Health & Dental Benefits: Access to our comprehensive group health plan after standard probation.

  • RRSP Matching Program: Company-matched contributions to help you save for the future.

  • Discretionary Incentives: Performance-based bonus opportunities offered at the Company’s discretion.

  • Gear & Modern Tools: We supply high-quality PPE, modern equipment, and clean machinery so you can work safely and efficiently ("Built for Busy").

Why Build Your Future with Park?

When you build your career with Park Landscape Group, you gain access to a platform built for long-term growth:

  • Visible Career Paths: Structured check-ins, performance mapping, and leadership advancement opportunities across four specialized divisions.

  • Investment in Learning: Dedicated resources for executive development, trade certifications, and ongoing professional training.

  • Modern Systems & Fleet: Access to leading-edge technology, modern tools, and clean, high-performing equipment ("Built for Busy").

  • Work You Take Pride In: True pride in physical site transformations, knowing you are building outdoor spaces that make a lasting impact in our communities ("From Start to Satisfied").
