Job Summary

The Area Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring winter maintenance operations across multiple commercial sites in the Calgary area. This role focuses on service excellence, operational performance, client communication, and quality assurance to ensure company standards and customer expectations are consistently achieved.

Major Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee snow and ice management operations across multiple sites.
• Monitor weather conditions and coordinate crew and equipment mobilization.
• Conduct site inspections before, during, and after weather events.
• Monitor and uphold company safety, quality, and operational standards.
• Manage site documentation, reports, service tickets, and purchase orders.
• Investigate and document incidents, property damage, and customer complaints.
• Review and approve ancillary work and operational records.
• Participate in pre-season planning, mid-season reviews, and post-season evaluations.
• Provide regular operational updates and feedback to management.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience managing field operations, crews, or contractors in landscaping, snow removal, construction, logistics, or a related industry.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and mobile technology.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts during weather events.
