Regional Builder Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Regional Builder Manager based in United States.

This role is responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships with home builders and other referral partners to drive mortgage growth. You’ll work closely with Mortgage Sales Teams to expand referral networks, increase loan volume, and strengthen market presence. As a subject matter expert in construction-permanent and renovation lending, you’ll help identify opportunities and improve product utilization. The position combines relationship management, sales strategy, market intelligence, and cross-functional collaboration across operations, product, risk, and learning teams. You’ll also support loan officer training and help establish effective business routines and performance strategies. This is a highly collaborative role suited to someone who enjoys building partnerships, influencing growth, and working independently across a regional market.

Accountabilities:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies designed to increase mortgage originations through strong partnerships with builders and real estate professionals.
  • Build, develop, and manage relationships with Realtor and Builder partners in collaboration with Mortgage Sales Teams.
  • Prospect independently through referral sources, existing clients, centers of influence, and other business networks while maintaining an effective prospect pipeline.
  • Coordinate calling strategies and conduct joint client and partner calls with Mortgage Sales Teams.
  • Partner with the Home Builder Commercial Real Estate Group to leverage existing relationships and pursue Preferred Partner opportunities.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Construction-Permanent and Renovation lending, supporting greater product utilization and market share.
  • Establish proactive relationship-management routines, monitor partnership performance, and adjust strategies based on results and market opportunities.
  • Serve as a liaison with operations, product, risk, and learning teams to support growth, product adoption, and effective execution.
  • Provide product training and market intelligence to loan officers and relevant sales partners.
  • Participate in community events, industry forums, conferences, and meetings to expand referral networks and stay informed about market trends, competitive activity, and industry practices.
  • Identify, assess, manage, monitor, and report risks in accordance with established policies, procedures, and risk appetite.
  • Promote strong customer and partner experiences by consistently operating with sound judgment, accountability, and a focus on doing what is right for customers and colleagues.
  • Provide leadership and coordination across multiple partners; supervisory responsibility may apply depending on organizational needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing Builder Alliances or similar strategic builder relationships.
  • Experience managing Construction-Permanent sales or fulfillment activities.
  • Previous mortgage sales experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service, relationship management, and business development skills.
  • Proven ability to establish new relationships, strengthen existing partnerships, and deliver a positive client experience.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability to facilitate collaboration across sales, operations, product, risk, learning, and other business partners.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong coordination with distributed teams and partners.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common business productivity tools.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required for partner meetings, industry events, and market activities.
  • Role is intended for candidates based in the Southeast or Southwest, including North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Texas, Arizona, or California.
Benefits
  • Annual base salary range of $121,900–$262,100, with individual compensation varying based on relevant skills, experience, education, and geographic location.
  • Eligibility for an incentive compensation plan, with payments potentially based on company, business-line, and individual performance.
  • Comprehensive benefits designed to support physical, financial, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Access to healthcare and other employee benefit programs for eligible employees and their families.
  • Retirement and financial wellness offerings.
  • Programs and resources supporting employees’ personal and professional development.
  • Virtual work environment with regional travel as required by the role.
  • Opportunity to build expertise in mortgage, construction, renovation, builder partnerships, and regional business development.
  • Exposure to cross-functional teams spanning sales, operations, product, risk, learning, and commercial real estate.
