What you'll do

Niron Magnetics is seeking an Analyst, Strategy & Operations to work directly alongside our senior leadership team during one of the most consequential stretches in the company's history. This is a generalist role built for an exceptional early-career candidate who wants to learn a company from the inside out, quickly, by being useful everywhere.

You will report to the Senior Director of Corporate Development and work closely with cross functional leadership.

Support the senior team

• Take ownership of discrete work streams delegated by senior leaders, from first draft to finished product.

• Prepare and format materials for investor, Board, customer, and government audiences.

• Attend key internal and external meetings, capture decisions and action items, and drive follow-through to closure.

• Serve as connective tissue across functions, chasing down the input, data, or answer that is blocking a decision.

Analysis and research

• Build and maintain spreadsheets, trackers, and simple models supporting fundraising, commercial pipeline, and operational reporting.

• Conduct market, competitor, customer, and policy research and synthesize it into clear, decision-ready summaries.

• Reconcile data across systems and documents, and flag discrepancies before they reach an external audience.

• Turn messy, incomplete inputs into organized, accurate, well-structured outputs.

Project and process management

• Maintain visibility on deadlines, deliverables, and owners across multiple concurrent work streams.

• Build the lightweight processes, templates, and trackers that a fast-growing company needs and rarely has time to create.

• Coordinate logistics for high-stakes meetings, site visits, and diligence processes.

Learn the business

• Develop a working understanding of Niron's technology, manufacturing process, customers, and markets.

• Rotate across functions as needs dictate, building the breadth that positions you for a longer-term path at Niron in corporate development, finance, program management, commercial, or operations.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in an analytically rigorous field — economics, the sciences, pre-med, statistics, history, engineering, or similar. We care more about the rigor of the program and how you were trained to think than about the specific subject.

• A strong academic record, including GPA, paired with meaningful involvement outside the classroom — extracurricular leadership, athletics, research, or work during school. We are looking for people who consistently take on more than the minimum and still perform.

• 0 – 2 years of professional experience. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

• Exceptional organization and attention to detail. You track your own commitments without being reminded, and nothing falls through.

• Strong quantitative comfort. You can build a clean spreadsheet, sanity-check a number, and explain what it means.

• Clear, concise writing. You can summarize a dense document or a long meeting in a paragraph.

• Sound judgment and discretion. This role carries early exposure to confidential financial, customer, and strategic information.

• A genuine bias to action and no sense that any task is beneath you. The most valuable person in a growing company is often the one who just picks it up.

• Curiosity and speed of learning. You will be handed unfamiliar subject matter constantly and expected to get up to speed fast.

• Full-time and on-site at our Minneapolis headquarters.

Nice to Have

• Internship or co-op experience in consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, venture capital, a startup, or a manufacturing environment.

• Strong Excel skills, including comfort with lookups, pivot tables, and basic modeling.

• Familiarity with PowerPoint, project management tools, and CRM systems.

• Exposure to technical or engineering subject matter, whether academic or professional.

• Ties to the Twin Cities and an interest in building a career here.

• Passion for clean tech, sustainable materials, or climate-positive innovation.

Growth at Niron

This role is designed as an accelerated onboarding into the company. We expect the first six months to be a broad immersion across the business, after which there are multiple paths forward depending on where your strengths and interests land — corporate development, financial analysis, program and project management, commercial operations, or an equivalent enabling role supporting a functional leader. We hire for this role with the expectation that the person will grow into something larger.
