Concession Stand Cook in Chesterfield, Missouri at CarShield Sportsplex

The CarShield Sportsplex is seeking Concession Stand Cooks to prepare and serve high-quality food in a fast-paced sports and entertainment environment. This position is ideal for dependable, team-oriented individuals who take pride in food quality, cleanliness, and friendly service. Concession Stand Cooks help keep operations running smoothly during games, leagues, tournaments, and special events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve hot and cold menu items, including grilled and roasted meats, fried foods, sandwiches, wraps, snacks, and beverages.
• Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and production schedules to deliver consistent quality and presentation.
• Maintain proper food-handling practices, safe holding temperatures, and product labeling and rotation.
• Assist with menu execution, batch cooking, and food preparation before and during service.
• Safely operate grills, fryers, ovens, warmers, slicers, and other food-preparation equipment as assigned.
• Monitor food quality, freshness, and presentation and communicate concerns promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout each shift.
• Assist with receiving deliveries, stocking supplies, inventory counts, and first-in, first-out stock rotation.
• Provide fast, courteous service and communicate professionally with guests and coworkers.
• Follow company policies and all applicable food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety requirements.
• Support other food and beverage areas as needed during high-volume events.

• Previous cooking, concessions, restaurant, cafeteria, or food-service experience preferred; training may be provided to candidates with a strong work ethic.
• Working knowledge of basic food preparation and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow recipes, written instructions, and food-safety procedures accurately.
• Ability to work efficiently and remain composed during high-volume service periods.
• Dependable attendance and willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays, tournaments, and special events as scheduled.
• Ability to stand and move for extended periods and lift or carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• ServSafe Food Handler or Manager certification is preferred; higher pay may be available for qualified ServSafe-certified cooks.
