ARC is looking for a talented Senior Manager, Accounting to join our team! You will direct and oversee the preparation and distribution of all periodic financial statements for internal and external use. You will ensure that reports, filings and documentation complies with company's regulations, professional standards, and GAAP reporting guidelines. You will confirm that entries, transactions, and accounts are accurately and properly consolidated and are included in internal and external financial statements. You will advise management of trends and changes in reporting requirements and recommends best approach for any changes in reporting. You will serve as a liaison with or oversee the work of external auditors. In this role you will also direct the establishment and implementation of an organization's accounting policies and procedures. You will have overall responsibility for assigned accounting operations and systems as well as associated analysis and report preparation. Leads and directs accounting professional and support staff through subordinate managers.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for leading the day-to-day full cycle accounting functions in partnership with the Accounting Managers
- Responsible for proactive engagement with leaders throughout the business to influence decisions and provide guidance regarding the financial and accounting implications of business activities and decisions.
- Provides leadership in complex issues with direct impact to financial performance including project capitalization, complex tax and audit issues, and operational process and procedure. Proactively leads and/or participates in cross functional teams related to nonstandard product sales, contracting or development of non-standard partnership sales, or vendor relationships and/or agreements.
- Has direct responsibility for the calculation, filing and remittance of all transactional tax obligations and partners with the MD of Financial Services and Tax experts in managing federal planning and all tax compliance issues.
- Responsible for the company’s accounting regulatory compliance to provide assurance of internal control, accurate and timely financial and accounting reporting in accordance with GAAP.
- Responsible for leading the payroll function and providing the accounting support to the payroll lead.
- Responsible for leading the day-to-day full cycle accounting functions in partnership with the Accounting Managers
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred; equivalent work experience considered
- CPA certification required
- 7+ years corporate accounting work experience
- 3 plus years of experience in managing people
- Goal oriented
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and interact with various levels and departments.
- Advanced level skill with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PPT in preparing and making presentations to various levels of management and stakeholders.
