Job Summary
The Collision General Manager leads the overall performance of the repair center, including production, financial results, teammate development, customer experience, and administrative operations. This role is accountable for safe, high-quality, and profitable repairs that meet company SOPs, insurance partner expectations, OEM requirements, and industry standards. The General Manager also develops talent, monitors KPIs and P&L performance, and drives continuous improvement across the front and back of shop.
Responsibilities / Essential Functions
Meet or exceed location revenue goals and other key performance indicators.
Manage front- and back-of-shop operations from vehicle intake through final delivery.
Assign labor and prioritize vehicles for teardown, body repair, refinish, and completion.
Monitor production quality, throughput, cycle time, and adherence to I-CAR and industry standards.
Support teammates during peak periods, including customer intake, check-in, and estimating as needed.
Oversee payroll, staffing, PTO, flag-hour procedures, and teammate scheduling.
Manage daily production flow and remove barriers affecting delivery commitments.
Write or review DRP-compliant estimates and supplements as needed after disassembly and damage discovery.
Recruit, coach, develop, recognize, and retain high-performing teammates.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in the collision repair industry required.
Minimum 2 years of collision repair leadership or management experience required.
Strong knowledge of insurance carrier procedures, DRP requirements, collision estimating, and repair operations.
Demonstrated understanding of P&L performance, labor utilization, gross profit, cycle time, and shop KPIs.
Proficient with CCC ONE or comparable collision estimating/management software.
Strong leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and team-development skills.
Ability to manage both customer-facing and production operations in a fast-paced repair environment.
Valid driver's license required.
