Job Title: Supplier Quality Lead
Location: Richmond, Virginia; Manassas, Virginia
Starting Compensation Range: This is a sales position eligible for a base salary plus commissions with a probable income of more than $100,000. The final compensation is negotiable and subject to candidate’s experience and skills.
What You Will Do:
- Manage quality performance of assigned suppliers
- Review and approve issuance of supplier corrective action requests
- Review and approve closure of supplier corrective action requests
- Lead customer quality meetings regarding supplier failures
- Lead supplier qualification audits and drive closure of findings
- Establish processes with new suppliers including customer required documentation and ship loose standards
- Manage and support customer audits and closure of findings
- Manage proactive supplier development
- Manage supplier recovery plans for high-risk suppliers
- Work in coordination with team to achieve Continuous Improvement goals and objectives
- Perform other related duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum five years of experience in quality engineering or related role
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred
- Certification in quality methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ) is a plus
- In-depth knowledge of quality assurance and control procedures, concepts, and methodologies
- Valid driver’s license
- Excellent driving record
- Willingness to travel up to 50%
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
What Success Looks Like In This Role:
- Planning and developing standards, procedures, and best practices for ensuring product quality
- Handling large volumes of work in a fast-paced environment and coordinating multiple competing tasks and demands
- Strong organizational skills
- Defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions
- Interpreting an extensive variety of data relating to employment laws
- Engaging in effective and persuasive discussions on complex topics with top management and other firm personnel; Making presentations to company personnel
- Prioritizing tasks and delegating them when appropriate
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Promoting a positive customer experience

Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to stand; walk and talk or hear
- Frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Occasionally lift and /or move up to 20 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus
