Through our BakeFace™ brand private-label partnerships, we supply a broad portfolio of Honestly Fresh™ baked goods to retailers nationwide.
We are hiring in our finishing department and are offering weekly pay! Our finishing team is responsible for applying icing, managing materials, and ensuring the highest quality of our products. This role involves understanding and operating various equipment, maintaining documentation, and adhering to quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate icing tables and warmers efficiently.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained and cleaned regularly.
- Prepare icing, ensuring the correct temperature and consistency.
- Apply icing to products with precision and attention to detail.
- Gather materials such as sprinkles, toppings, and icing.
- Set up tables and icing areas with the necessary ingredients and equipment.
- Read the bake list to gauge the amount of ingredients needed for the day.
- Follow bake sheets to determine quantities and check off completed tasks on the board.
- Apply toppings and sprinkles as required, ensuring even distribution and presentation.
- Break down all equipment for sanitation at the end of each shift.
- Adhere to food safety and allergen protocols.
- Fill out and maintain food safety paperwork to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Assist with training new team members on icing tables and other relevant equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and hygiene standards.
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Assist with additional tasks and responsibilities as directed by your supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
- Follow cleaning schedules and procedures for equipment and workspaces.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are sanitized regularly.
- Dispose of waste materials properly and promptly.
- Adhere to hygiene standards and wear appropriate protective gear.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with bakery equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work any day of the week, including weekends (schedule is subject to change).
- Must have a reliable form of transportation to get to work on a daily basis.
- Ability to learn and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Authorization to work in the US (must provide proper documentation).
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to occasionally bend and twist.
- Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 30lbs.
- Manual dexterity for handling dough and operating equipment.
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing bakery environment with exposure to machinery, temperature variation, noise, and moving equipment.
- Regular standing, walking, and presence on the production floor is required.
