Maintenance Associate in Christiansburg, Virginia at Milestone Development LLC

Homewood Suites by Hilton in Christiansburg, VA, is looking for a reliable, hardworking, and mechanically inclined Maintenance Associate to help maintain our hotel property.
This position plays an important role in ensuring our guest rooms, equipment, and common areas remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable performing a variety of general maintenance and repair tasks.

Key Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and general repairs throughout guest rooms, public areas, and hotel facilities.
Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, carpentry, and general building maintenance tasks within training and authorization.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and guest room issues.
Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and complete assigned maintenance checklists.
Identify potential maintenance concerns and report issues requiring additional attention.
Assist with maintaining hotel equipment, lighting, fixtures, doors, furniture, and appliances.
Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of maintenance areas, tools, and equipment.
Document completed repairs, outstanding maintenance concerns, and preventive maintenance activities.
Assist with property improvement projects and renovation-related tasks as needed.
Follow hotel safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and Hilton brand standards.
Communicate effectively with the Maintenance Supervisor, management, housekeeping, and front desk teams.

Qualifications
Previous general maintenance, facilities, construction, or related experience preferred.
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and general repairs is a plus.
Ability to troubleshoot problems and complete tasks efficiently.
Comfortable using basic hand and power tools safely.
Ability to lift, carry, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
Willingness to learn and assist with a variety of maintenance needs.
