This is an evergreen posting for future opportunities. We are not currently hiring for this position.

We are building a pipeline of qualified Maintenance Supervisor candidates so we can connect with experienced professionals when future opportunities become available.

The maintenance supervisor works in conjunction with the Property Manager to ensure the site is effectively maintained. An excellent maintenance supervisor must be reliable and have a great eye for detail. They must have technical skills and knowledge of various crafts such as carpentry, electric, HVAC, plumbing etc. Leadership and knowledge of administrative tasks such as scheduling along with hiring and training are essential. The goal is to ensure that the community is in a good and safe condition at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect community periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance
  • Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work
  • Recruit, supervise and train maintenance technicians
  • Inspect and maintain building systems (heating, ventilation etc.)
  • Contribute to the development of maintenance budget and ensure compliance
  • Monitor inventory of materials and equipment
  • Participate in coordination of converting the building from construction to management.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations

Skills

  • Proven experience as maintenance supervisor (3+ years experience managing multi-family maintenance for a Class A property)
  • Strong technical knowledge of all building systems (electrical, heating etc.)
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices and regulations
  • Understanding of budgeting and performance management
  • Excellent planning and leadership abilities
  • Attention to Detail
  • Computer savvy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience scheduling and managing a maintenance team
  • High school diploma; Degree from a vocational school will be a plus
  • EPA and CPO certifications are required
  • Construction warranty transition experience a plus

High School diploma or equivalent; some college strongly preferred

Requirements: Current and valid driver's license along with current auto insurance


7:30am-4:00pm Monday-Friday and on-call rotation
