Job Description

Title: Level Manager

Position Purpose and Expectations:

The Level Manager is responsible for leading and developing a specific within their assigned location. This role reports directly to the Gym Manager and plays a key role in delivering high-quality programs, developing staff and creating an exceptional experience for students and families.

These departments could include, but are not limited to: Preschool/TumbleBees, Grade School Programs, TEAM, Cheer, Ninja, Tumbling, Special Events, or other program areas.

The Level Manager is expected to lead with professionalism, accountability, and a commitment to Olympia’s mission, ensuring programs are safe, engaging, and aligned with company standards. Success in this role is measured through strong staff leadership, program quality, customer satisfaction, and healthy enrollment growth.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Lead the Team
    • Lead by example and model our company mission, values and professional standards.
    • Create a positive and supportive team culture that encourages accountability, collaboration and growth.
    • Provide regular coaching, feedback and mentorship to staff.
    • Clearly communicate expectations and hold staff accountable to program and safety standards.
    • Support staff development and help build future leaders within the organization.
  • Develop and Retain Staff
    • Assist in identifying, recruiting, and hiring staff who align with the company’s culture and values.
    • Ensure new team members receive effective onboarding and training.
    • Encourage professional growth and continuous learning within the department.
    • Support staff retention through strong leadership and a positive work environment.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Ensure policies, procedures, and safety standards are consistently followed.
    • Meet administrative deadlines and maintain organized records.
    • Communicate effectively with leadership and other departments.
    • Support overall gym operations and contribute to team-wide success.
  • Develop Exceptional Programs
    • Ensure programs are safe, structured and developmentally appropriate.
    • Maintain consistent instructional quality across all classes.
    • Ensure curriculum supports athlete progress, confidence, fun and self-esteem.
    • Maintain a strong department safety record and ensure staff are properly trained in all injury and emergency procedures.
    • Ensure equipment an facility areas are maintained safely.
  • Grow and Strengthen the Program
    • Support enrollment growth and retention within the department.
    • Work with the Gym Manager to develop class offerings and schedules that support gym growth.
    • Monitor class ratios and operational efficiency.
    • Complete SkillTrees as required.
    • Support marketing initiatives, events, and community outreach opportunities.
    • Identify opportunities for program improvements and innovation.
  • Create and Outstanding Customer Experience
    • Build positive relationships with athletes and families.
    • Ensure every customer feels welcomed, valued and supported.
    • Address parent questions and/or concerns promptly and professionally.
    • Train staff to consistently provide excellent customer service.
    • Support a fun, positive, and encouraging class environment in the gym.

Consults with:

Level Managers work closely with the gym’s leadership team, including other department managers, and office staff. This role also collaborates with Level Managers from other Olympia locations and the Home Office team.

Participation in district meetings, training sessions and company initiatives is expected.

Knowledge & Skills:

Level Managers should demonstrate reliability, professionalism, ethical business practices, and a commitment to supporting a positive company culture.

A successful Level Manager will demonstrate the following:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Moderate computer proficiency (Microsoft Word and Excel).
  • Understanding of Olympia/Team Central’s programs and services.
  • First Aid and CPR certification (or ability to obtain).

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required, College degree desirable.
  • 2+ years of customer service experience.
  • 1+ years in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
  • Experience growing a program or increasing participation and/or enrollments.
  • Background in gymnastics, cheer, ninja, tumbling or dance preferred.

Working Environment:

The Level Manager primarily works in one of our training facilities. The position is a balance of coaching responsibilities with administrative work. Some travel to the Home Office or other Olympia locations may be required. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, spot athletes on skills, and move gymnastics equipment as needed.

*Teaching approximately 20 hours/week (weekday mornings and evenings Monday-Friday) + Saturday mornings

*On sight administrative hours approximately 10 hours/week
