Position Description:

Are you a detail-oriented finance professional ready to lead accounting operations and drive process excellence?


Were looking for an Accounting Manager to oversee monthly financial close, reporting, audits, and budgeting activities while mentoring accounting staff and improving efficiency across financial systems. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about accuracy, process improvement, and financial transparency.

What Youll Do

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Analyze and validate accounting data to ensure completeness and compliance.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and analyses for leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Manage external financial audits and coordinate audit deliverables.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff; provide technical guidance and feedback.
  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis.
  • Drive continuous improvement in accounting systems, processes, and reporting tools.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams on new site implementations, ERP initiatives, and financial integration projects.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration.

What Were Looking For

Education & Training

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field (required)

Experience

  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role (required)
  • Healthcare or behavioral health experience (preferred)
  • Experience managing accounting operations for multi-site or complex organizations (preferred)
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Business Central, UKG, or similar) (preferred)
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills (preferred)

Licenses/Certifications

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (preferred)
