Position SummaryThe HR Generalist / People & Culture Specialist supports the day-to-day human resources functions of the company while helping reinforce R&R’s mission, vision, and core values. This role partners with leaders and employees across departments to support hiring, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and culture initiatives.The ideal candidate is organized, people-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment supporting both office staff and field employees.
Key ResponsibilitiesRecruiting & Hiring SupportAssist with full-cycle recruiting for field and office roles across HVAC, plumbing, and electricalCoordinate job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and hiring logisticsHelp build strong recruiting pipelines for skilled tradesSupport hiring managers with interview coordination and candidate communicationOnboarding & Employee ExperienceManage onboarding for new hires to ensure a smooth and welcoming startCoordinate orientation and ensure required documentation is completedHelp new employees understand company expectations, culture, and policiesSupport employee engagement and recognition initiativesEmployee Relations & HR SupportServe as a resource for employees and managers regarding HR policies and proceduresSupport leaders with documentation, coaching, and employee concernsAssist with performance review processes and employee development initiativesHelp maintain a positive and respectful workplace cultureHR AdministrationMaintain employee records and HR systems (ADP or similar)Assist with payroll coordination and HR reportingSupport benefits administration and open enrollmentEnsure accurate documentation and record keepingCompliance & Policy SupportHelp ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment lawsSupport updates to employee handbook and HR policiesMaintain consistent HR processes and documentation standardsCulture & People InitiativesHelp reinforce R&R’s Core Values: Integrity, Trust, Giving, Positivity, Teamwork, AccountabilitySupport company events, recognition programs, and culture-building effortsPartner with leadership to promote a positive employee experienceQualifications2–5 years of HR experience (construction, trades, or service industry preferred)Strong organizational and communication skillsAbility to build trust with employees and managersKnowledge of HR practices and employment law fundamentalsHRIS experience preferred (ADP a plus)SHRM-CP, PHR, or related HR certification preferred but not requiredWhat Success Looks LikeSmooth and efficient hiring and onboarding processesStrong relationships with employees and leadersConsistent HR practices across departmentsPositive employee experience and engagementHR processes that support company growth and cultureWhy R&R Heating & A/C?Stable, growing company with a strong reputation in the communityLeadership team committed to people and cultureOpportunity to support a company with 100+ team members across multiple tradesCompetitive compensation and benefitsA workplace committed to improving lives
