Job Overview:
Under the direction of the Manager, the Inventory Specialist II works and cooperates with Receiving and Distribution staff.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma
- Six months to one-year Materials Management/Distribution experience
- Knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel and the ability to multitask successfully
- Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal and demonstrated writing skills
Preferred:
College degree
Scheduling Requirements
- Shift: Day
- Time: 6:00am - 2:00pm
- Status: Per Diem (As needed based on department needs)
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for managing supply chain activities in the assigned area under the direction of the supply chain management.
- Performs procurement activities for assigned areas in a cost-effective manner using current inventory management processes and procedures.
- Communicates product concerns to supply chain management and seeks input or approval from the Clinical Resource Directors for all newly requested items prior to placing an order.
- Should be in business appropriate attire prior to the start of the scheduled shift.
- Consistently anticipates customer needs and expectations; responds to supply inquiries in a timely and effective manner.
- Practices and adheres to all department and organizational policies, procedures, initiatives, and training.
- Conducts supply chain activities for assigned areas. Responsible for the research, mitigation, and resolution of customer concerns and escalates when needed.
- Performs delegated tasks and special projects as assigned.
- Acts as a subject-matter expert in assigned areas.
- Attends daily meetings and huddles.
- Has a working knowledge of all equipment used in the supply chain department.
- Responsible for identifying and reporting safety concerns, medical errors, device malfunction, and facility damage.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
