Position Description:

CONTRACT POSITION - Through mid-November or potentially December

POSITION SUMMARY:

As temporary Project Manager, you will bring structure, accountability and coordination across departments, consultants, vendors, and project teams. By standardizing project processes and tracking performance metrics, a project manager helps the organization scale efficiently. Establishing a project management position allows senior leadership to focus on strategic decision-making while ensuring the day-to-day project execution is handled with professionalism, discipline and follow-through.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Planning and Initiation

• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables

• Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget

• Establish key milestones and deadlines

Team Coordination and Leadership

• Assign tasks and responsibilities to project team members

• Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members and departments

• Monitor team performance and provide direction or support as needed

Budget and Resource Management

• Develop and manage project budgets

• Monitor resource usage and control project costs

• Identify and resolve budget variances

Timeline and Schedule Management

• Create and maintain detailed project schedules

• Track progress against deadlines and adjust plans as necessary

• Identify and mitigate schedule risks or delays

Risk Management

• Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies

• Monitor ongoing risk factors throughout the project lifecycle

• Implement contingency plans when needed

Stakeholder Communication

• Serve as the main point of contact between the project team and stakeholders

• Prepare and deliver regular project updates and reports

• Facilitate meetings and presentations with internal and external stakeholders

Quality Assurance

• Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations

• Conduct project reviews, audits, and post-project evaluations

• Document lessons learned and best practices

Issue Resolution

• Proactively identify and resolve project issues or conflicts

• Escalate concerns appropriately and maintain project momentum

• Foster a problem-solving culture within the team

Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation

• Track and report on project performance metrics (KPIs, milestones, deliverables)

• Ensure compliance with regulatory or contractual requirements

Project Closeout

• Confirm completion of all deliverables

• Coordinate final stakeholder approvals

• Lead project debriefs and create final reports
