About the Opportunity

Edge Logistics is seeking an Experienced Carrier Sales Representative to join our Chicago office.

This is not a position for someone looking to maintain the status quo. We are rebuilding our foundational core and selectively adding professionals who bring energy, accountability, creativity, and a team-first mentality.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building relationships, understands transportation markets, and takes pride in delivering outstanding service.

We are looking for someone who wants to learn, teach, contribute ideas, and help build a best-in-class Carrier Sales organization.

•Develop and manage relationships with carriers across North America.

•Build and maintain your own portfolio of carrier partners.

•Source capacity and strategically cover customer freight.

•Negotiate rates while balancing service, margin, and long-term carrier relationships.

•Identify carrier opportunities, lane opportunities, and market trends.

•Utilize technology and market intelligence tools to make informed decisions.

•Collaborate closely with Customer Sales, Operations, and Leadership teams.

•Maintain accurate documentation and activity within company systems.

•Deliver exceptional service to carriers, customers, and internal stakeholders.

•Contribute to process improvement, training initiatives, and team development.

Requirements:

What We're Looking For

  • Freight brokerage or carrier sales experience required.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain carrier relationships.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Competitive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Desire to continuously improve and develop professionally.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to team success.
