Overview
This position is for the EB Pacific Maintenance & Modernization Site in Honolulu, HI.
Position located in Honolulu, HI. Maintenance and Modernization has an opening for Material Coordinators. The selected candidate(s) will perform warehouse duties in the Shop/Shipyard as required to receive and dispatch materials. Must have good organization skills and maintain material control and segregation. The position requires the candidate(s) to be flexible, as well as adaptable, working in a team environment. Candidates shall be experienced in reading blueprints and math skills necessary to perform this function. Candidate shall be willing to learn new skills and apply them as necessary with appropriate training. Candidates will be cross trained in other functions of the business to include, but not limited to: Hazmat control, label design and fabrication, tool crib & wire room attendant, transportation and trade technician helper.
Candidates are required to be proficient with computers to access ITS (Inventory tracking System), MRP II (Materials Resource Planning), EWP (Electronic Work Package), and accessing company policies and procedures. This position will require going on board a submarine. The candidate must work in a team environment, be able to work independently when needed to do so, and must be willing to travel. A secret clearance is required as a condition of employment.

Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of operational experience in picking, packing, shipping, receiving and inventory control processes. This includes technical experience in warehouse management systems, scanners, and inventory software.
- Candidate is expected to have sufficient computer skills to be able to operate independently in a fast paced & dynamic environment.
- Candidate must be comfortable with lifting, moving, standing, and hustling for long hours.
- Candidate must be conscious of safety attributes such ergonomics, securing loads, PPE, and maintaining a safe work area.
- Candidate must be able to obtain forklift license and pass applicable DOT physicals to operate flatbed truck (CDL is not required).
- Candidate must possess strong attention to detail in order to ensure accuracy in counting & staging material to reduce errors and improve customer satisfaction.
- Candidate must be a strong team player, reliable, and have strong work ethic with a “get it done” attitude & desire to learn.
- Candidate must possess the ability to handle unexpected issues and adapt to changes in workflow or technology.
- Candidate must be willing to travel and work overtime & weekends as required to support project demands. Travel may be expected for up to 1 year at a time and must be able to travel anywhere within the continental United States or Guam.
Preferred
- 5+ years of operational experience in picking, packing, shipping, receiving and inventory control processes. This includes technical experience in experience in warehouse management systems, scanners, and inventory software.
- 1+ years of Electric Boat experience working with ITS (Inventory Tracking System), MRP II (Materials Resource Planning), and EWA (Electronic Work Packages)
- Prior experience in handling Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) & Hazardous Waste (HAZWASTE)
- Prior experience performing formal receipt inspections, verifying that incoming material meets quality, quantity, and specifications outlined in purchase orders before being added to inventory.
