About This Position
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Clerk Level 3 to join our finance team. This role is vital in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our accounts payable processes, supporting our commitment to financial integrity and vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable functions and the ability to handle more advanced tasks with precision.
Main Key Responsibilities:
· Review purchase orders, and invoices ensuring that all amounts owed are accurate and properly documented.
· Record and process payments for vendor invoices in accordance with internal accounting policies.
· Keep the accounts payable ledger up to date to ensure accurate and timely payments.
· Respond to vendor inquiries and assist with the research of any discrepancies in billings and payments.
· Utilize accounting software and systems to manage invoices and payments.
· Other duties as assigned
Requirements:· High school diploma or equivalent required
· Associate’s degree in accounting or a related field preferred
· 3-5 years’ work-related experience preferred.
· Knowledge of accounting principles and applicable laws preferred.
· Must be efficient in MS Office suite: Excel, Word, Outlook, instant messaging, and internet navigation.
· Experience with Sage500 is a plus.
· Strong time management, negotiation, judgement, and problem-solving skills
· High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
· Ability to manage high-volume transactions.
· Flexibility to multitask and shift priorities when needed.
· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Physical Requirements:
· Requires extended periods of sitting/standing as well as repetitive movement.
