1. Role Purpose: Assists in maintaining, monitoring, and optimizing databases to ensure high availability, performance, and security.

2. Key Responsibilities:

· Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of database systems.

· Monitor database performance and ensure optimal performance and uptime.

· Perform routine database backups and recovery operations and execute basic SQL queries and support in database-related tasks

· Assist in database upgrades, patches, and migrations and troubleshoot database issues to provide timely resolutions

· Maintain database documentation and logs

· Support data security and access control measures

· Work with senior DBAs to ensure database integrity and reliability

· Database uptime and performance SLA adherence

· DB capacity utilization efficiency and performance improvement metrics

· Mean time to detect / restore DB issues

· Quality of automation delivered for DB operational tasks

· Compliance adherence (backup/retention/hardening)

· Reduction in recurring DB incidents and performance

· Internal: Collaborates with Compute Engineering, Cloud Infra, Platform Ops, App Engineering, Security, Architecture and PMO teams for performance optimization, deployment planning, risk mitigation, and stable run execution.

· External: Coordinates with client IT teams, DB OEMs, cloud DB service providers, DB support vendors, and enterprise customer technical teams for escalations, advisory inputs, and solution enablement.
