About This Position

About Us:

Precision Fluid Controls, Inc. designs, manufactures, and tests components for launch vehicles and ground support applications—providing many types of valves including throttling valves, ball valves, check and relief valves, vent and relief valves, pressure reducing, both manual and dome loaded, regulators, sleeve valves, butterfly valves, solenoid valves plus many others.

About the role:

The CNC Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC machine tools and related equipment to ensure maximum uptime, safety, and production efficiency. This role requires strong mechanical, electrical, and controls knowledge and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

The role is a fully on-site role located in our Lincoln, CA offices.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

What You’ll Do:

    Fill machines with coolant, way oil, chuck grease and other necessary fluidsAdjust and maintain coolant concentration using a refractometerEmpty chip barrelsDiagnose and repair CNC machine issues including mills, lathes, and multi-axis equipmentPerform scheduled preventative maintenance per OEM specificationsInspect machines for wear, leaks, vibrations, and alignment issuesKeep a daily log of all machine maintenance, document PMs, repairs, and machine history accuratelyOversee and track outside processing activities by coordinating with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely completion and minimal production disruptionCommunicate clearly with operators, programmers, supervisors, and managementFollow all safety protocols including lockout/tagout proceduresMaintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance work areaEnsure machine safety devices and interlocks are functionalRegularly lift 30-50 pounds
What You’ll Need:

3–5+ years hands‑on experience maintaining and repairing CNC machine tools in a production environmentAbility to perform and document preventive maintenance schedulesAbility to work safely in energized cabinetsHands-on experience managing chip and scrap removal including: chip conveyors, augers, and filtrationStrong attention to detail and consistency when performing routine maintenance across a large fleet of machinesCoordinating with vendors to ensure proper disposal and segregation of waste materialsAdditional Knowledge a Plus:

Experience acting as a lead technician or informal maintenance supervisorExperience with multi-axis CNC machinesAbility to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical schematicsJoin us as a CNC Maintenance Technician where your skills will directly impact the success of innovative space components manufacturing.
