Strategy & Operations Manager

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Strategy & Operations Manager in Canada.

This role sits at the core of a fast-scaling organization undergoing rapid expansion into new business areas, where structure, clarity, and execution discipline are critical to success. You will act as a key operator between strategy and execution, helping transform early-stage ideas into well-defined, data-backed initiatives ready for launch. Working closely with senior leadership, you will support decision-making through business cases, financial modeling, and operational analysis. You will also help establish the systems, scorecards, and processes that ensure cross-functional teams execute effectively in a fast-moving environment. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys building from scratch, and brings structure to complex, evolving challenges. You will directly influence how new products, teams, and initiatives are shaped and scaled.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will own the operational and analytical backbone of new initiatives while bringing structure, clarity, and discipline to cross-functional execution across the business.

  • Lead end-to-end development of zero-to-one initiatives, including scoping, business case creation, pricing, costing, and go-to-market planning
  • Drive execution discipline across leadership initiatives by defining scope, ownership, timelines, and success metrics
  • Act as the central point for evaluating and refining new business ideas, ensuring leadership has clear, data-backed recommendations
  • Support financial modeling for new products in partnership with Finance, including revenue forecasting, cost analysis, and break-even modeling
  • Design and implement operational dashboards and scorecards to track performance, efficiency, and content or product impact
  • Help define team structures and operating models when launching new functions or departments
  • Remove execution bottlenecks for senior leadership by coordinating cross-functional alignment and decision-making
  • Continuously improve operational processes and introduce scalable systems for tracking, reporting, and initiative management
Requirements

This role requires a strong blend of strategy, operations, and analytical thinking, along with the ability to bring structure to ambiguity and drive cross-functional execution in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience in strategy & operations, program management, product operations, or business operations roles (startup or scale-up environment preferred)
  • Strong business modeling skills, including revenue, cost, and margin analysis using Excel or Google Sheets
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects and drive structured execution without direct authority
  • Comfort working in ambiguous environments and translating ideas into structured, actionable plans
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex operational challenges
  • Familiarity with AI tools and ability to leverage them to improve speed and efficiency of work
  • Data literacy, including experience with dashboards, analytics tools, or SQL is an asset
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment
  • Technical curiosity with ability to engage effectively with engineering and product teams
  • Experience in content, media, FP&A, or founder/operator roles is a strong asset
Benefits
