About This Position

Position Summary:

The Operations Lead is responsible for overseeing daily operational activities to ensure smooth and efficient workflows. This role acts as a key point of contact between management and team members, ensuring alignment with company objectives and operational excellence. The Operations Lead is tasked with supervising tasks, resolving issues, and fostering a productive work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead in training team members.
  • Lead in managing and coordinating the daily operations of the warehouse to include shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
  • Ensure the warehouse is clean and organized and the safety protocols are followed.
  • Studies daily shipment schedule, establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet shipping deadlines.
  • Assigns job functions to the team.
  • Communication operational change up the chain that impacts daily work requirements.
  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, quality, or work and suggests changes to increase efficiency.
  • Support the supervisor in the development of employees.
  • Work with key stakeholders to ensure that the necessary equipment is available and in working order to complete assignments.
  • Verifies that outgoing deliveries meet company quality standards.
  • Keep team members informed about regulations, policies, and objectives.
  • Assist supervisors in performance management.
  • Proactively works in achieving the organizational objectives.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Proactively works to assist others in achieving the organization’s objectives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience using a warehouse management system.

  • Thorough understanding of warehouse procedures.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years of related experience required.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at a time.
  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to access and navigate the production facility.

Work Environment:

  • Combination of office and floor operating settings, depending on business needs.
  • Fast-paced environment requiring adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Exposure to warehouses or production environments with moderate noise levels.

Travel Requirements:

  • Minimal travel required; occasional site visits or off-site meetings may be necessary.

Equipment Used:

  • Standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, and printers.
  • Operational tools and systems, including inventory management software and handheld devices.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervise a team of operational staff, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing feedback.
  • Responsible for scheduling, training, and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Support the hiring and onboarding process for new team members.
