POSITION SUMMARY
-
The Clinical Patient Safety Advisor, RN, is part of the Quality division within the Office of Patient Safety and serves as a key resource to employees and leadership in supporting quality data collection and analysis, patient safety initiatives, accreditation readiness, and performance improvement efforts. This role actively supports the organization’s strategic plan by leading and facilitating department-specific and system-wide projects and teams. Working under the direction of the Manager of the Office of Patient Safety, and in close collaboration with staff, leadership, and members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team, the Patient Safety Advisor, RN, continuously evaluates patient safety needs, accreditation requirements, project management activities, and Lean education opportunities. The Advisor fosters engagement and cooperation among staff and leaders to advance process improvement and performance excellence across the organization. This position requires strong analytical skills to interpret data and apply evidence-based standards to identify improvement opportunities and recommend effective action plans. The Advisor conducts evidence-based research and utilizes available resources and instructional methods to develop and deliver training programs aligned with hospital policies, protocols, and regulatory standards. Serving as a vital resource for multiple clinical teams, executive leadership, and departmental meetings, the Advisor also performs quality reviews for departmental leaders as needed. Success in this role requires exceptional organization, a data-driven approach, and the ability to support clinical initiatives with accuracy and insight. The Clinical Patient Safety Advisor, RN, promotes high-quality, compassionate care through ongoing personal and professional development, innovative thinking, and effective role modeling for staff across the organization.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
-

Minimum Experience-
5 years of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting

Required Registration/License/Certification-
Registered Nursing License
-
BLS within 90 days of hire
-
-
Preferred Education-
Master’s Degree in Nursing, Information Systems, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field

Preferred Experience-
Data Management and Analysis

Quality Management/or Performance Improvement experience

Preferred Registration/License/Certification-
Certified Lean Training

Project Management Professional (PMP) training
