Direct Support Professional at Assisted Independence – Bloomington, Indiana

A Direct Support Professional, DSP, supports individuals with developmental and physical disabilities to live a quality life. To promote health, safety, and well being of individuals. This caregiving role will be working with a adolescent female with developmental disability. The hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4pm-6pm EST and Saturdays from 9am-1pm EST. A Direct Support Professional serves as an advocate for individuals in communicating their needs and achieve their goals. We will train, prepare, and support you to succeed!

Great people skills! Organizational skills, time management skills, good written and verbal communication skills, multi-tasking skills, critical thinking, active listening, reading comprehension, teamwork, interpretation, problem solving, teaching, innovating and strategizing. You may need to lift and support individuals with hygiene needs. This job includes meal preparation and very light housekeeping. High school diploma or equivalent. Drivers license, updated vehicle insurance and registration. CPR certification (we offer certification if you do not have it). Negative TB test within 60 days of hire.
